Peak oil and the economy

It is my view that the oil price spike last summer was the catalyst for the global economic woes - ie, increases in the cost of living caused many people to default on their mortgaes blah blah blah. Since many forecasts of net oil flow fail to meet demand from 2010/11 onwards I belive it is a reasonble assumption that prices will then rise again and have a duplicate economic effect.

Hubs and Spokes

This is a new group who are campaigning for safe cycle paths into and around Tunbridge Wells. Their main aim is to enable children to be able to cycle to school safely, but the suggested paths will be a great improvement to Tunbridge Wells, and should encourage a greater number of people to cycle instead of drive into town.
