CAROLINE LUCAS MEP and HOWARD LEE on THE FUTURE OF FOOD



For our fourth public event (6 Nov) since we started in July, we had invited Caroline Lucas, MEP and Green Party Leader, and Dr Howard Lee, Professor of Sustainable Land Management at Hadlow College, to come and talk to us about 'The Future of Food'. We hired the main hall at The Camden Centre which was just as well as we had a good turn out - about 80 people.

How to post up profile photo?

I managed to upload a profile photo of myself on the original TTTW site but every time I try on the wiki/ning it gives me the following error message:

"We're Sorry. A problem seems to have occurred. Your photo must be a .jpg, .gif or .png file."

But my photo IS a .jpg File!

I'm mentioning this generally as I've noticed there are several other shadowy male silhouettes like mine on the site. They may be having the same difficulty or on the other hand they may just be shy.

New Report on Peak Oil 29 Oct 08



The report was issued today by the recently established UK industry taskforce on peak oil and energy security, a group of eight companies including transport firms Virgin, Stagecoach and FirstGroup, engineers Arup, architects Foster and Partners, and energy giant Scottish and Southern.



Entitled The Oil Crunch, the report argues that the risk of an early peak in oil production poses a bigger threat to UK society than tightening gas… Continue
